Lara Pizzorno is the author of “Your Bones: How You Can Prevent Osteoporosis and Have Strong Bones for Life – Naturally” and a member of the American Medical Writers Association with 29 years of experience specializing in bone health.

Recently we asked Lara if she would help us provide a series of short, ongoing videos to help you (our customers and readers) stay up to date on the latest facts and science related to bone health.

In this latest video, Lara discusses what motivated her to write her book, “Your Bones”. Watch the video below (or read the transcript provided) and let us know what you think in the comments. 🙂

I wrote Your Bones because I know with 100% certainty, both from reading hundreds and hundreds of medical journal articles over the last 30 years and from my personal life experience that no one, including you, is predetermined to develop osteoporosis.

In fact, no woman or man should ever have to experience this frightening and life-robbing disease.

We have the knowledge to end osteoporosis right now.

Current medical research has already revealed and continues to expand upon our understanding of the many factors in our modern lives that can promote excessive bone loss. And here’s the really good news, every single one of them is correctable or, at least, modifiable.

I’m passionate about this because I know that bone loss is not a mysterious process. It is not an inescapable thing that we can do nothing about.

And because I know that what we’re being told to do, the drugs that we’re being told to take, are not only not our only option to treat osteoporosis, but actually make it worse.

They do not deal with the real reasons why we are losing too much bone and they do not help us to regain our healthy bone remodeling process; a process that continues throughout our lives, and which we must have working properly for us to have healthy bones.

Did you know that in the healthy adult skeleton normal balanced bone remodeling causes the complete regeneration of the adult skeleton every ten years?

In other words, your bones are supposed to be completely broken down in tiny, tiny bits and rebuilt anew every ten years. The anti-resorptive drugs prevent this normal bone remodeling process.

And not only do these drugs not restore bone health, but within just a few years, these expensive and dangerous medications, all of which have do just the opposite. They cause us to accumulate old, brittle bone, thus preventing us from building new, healthy bone. So they actually promote bone fragility and increase our risk of fractures.

In contrast, by simply providing our bodies with the nutrients that our bones have to have to stay healthy and strong, and protecting ourselves from the environmental and dietary factors that promote bone loss, and there are many of them, we can have strong bones throughout our lives.

In fact, our bodies come pre-programmed to create healthy bones for us if they are not overwhelmed by the harmful factors, and they are provided with the necessary ingredients starting with the key bone-building nutrients that are found in Algaecal Plus.

I wrote “Your Bones” and dedicated myself to ending osteoporosis because,

  1. First of all, it’s totally possible.
  2. And secondly, because we’re being harmed by the drugs we’re being told to take and because I’ve been blessed by being in the unique position to have access to the knowledge of how to safely and naturally promote bone health.

And because of this, I feel I’ve been given a responsibility to pass this knowledge on.

I know we can beat osteoporosis, both from reading literally thousands of papers in the peer-reviewed medical literature for more than 30 years now, and personally from my own life experience with bone loss and my full recovery to healthy bones.

That the science-based information that I can share can help many women and men not only avoid osteoporosis, but enhance their overall health and live longer, more vibrant lives.

In our next video, I’ll tell you more about my personal story, how I discovered I was losing lots of bones in my early ‘40s, well before menopause, and how I identified the real reasons why it was happening and turned it around.

Today I’m 66 years old and I have great bones. And trust me, if I beat osteoporosis, so can you.

So I hope to see you for the next video and thank you for tuning in.
